About me

I'm Niels, an iOS developer based in Amsterdam. By day I'm a tech lead at TicketSwap. By night (and weekends) I build my own apps for Mac and iPhone.

I didn't start out as a developer. I was a mobile tester who got the chance to jump in when my team needed an extra hand on iOS. I taught myself, got help from great colleagues, and never looked back. What hooked me was the feeling of showing someone something I made — and that's still what drives me.

Small scope, polished craft

The apps I build do one thing and do it well. I'd rather spend time getting the design right than packing in features. Every detail matters — if it's on screen, it should feel considered.
