iOS and product engineer

iOS and product engineer with more than nine years of experience, currently senior iOS Engineer and Tech Lead for my product team at TicketSwap. I build and maintain the iOS app and its architecture, mentor juniors, and run our mobile team meetings. I also do technical interviews when we hire. Outside work I prototype side projects; one of them, LeesSimpel, won the Most Mind Blowing Award at the Amsterdam AI Hackathon in 2023.

Experience

  1. Senior iOS Engineer · TicketSwap

    2020 — Present

    Amsterdam

I develop and maintain the iOS app and its architecture, and I act as tech lead in my product team. My main focus lately has been on preparing our workflow for AI assisted coding. I also mentor junior developers, plan projects, run our mobile team meetings, and do technical interviews when we hire. We use SwiftUI for all new features.

  2. iOS Engineer · Appical

    2017 — 2020

    Amsterdam

Started my iOS career at Appical and helped rewrite the whole app from a web app into a native iOS one. Picked up Swift, the Apple platforms, and how a real product team ships software.

  3. Mobile QA Engineer · Camarilla

    2016 — 2017

    Amsterdam

Camarilla doesn't exist anymore (it got acquired by Appical), but at the time I owned QA for their mobile social network. I ran the test process and triaged bugs with the dev team.

  4. Online Communication · Pakhuis de Zwijger

    2014 — 2016

    Amsterdam

Pakhuis de Zwijger is an Amsterdam platform for social innovation. I ran their online communication: the website and the newsletters.
